About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a premier, full-service California law firm widely recognized for its elite real estate and environmental practice groups. Known for driving some of the most high-profile regulatory, development, and administrative enforcement matters on the West Coast, this firm offers an exceptional platform for an ambitious senior attorney.
We are seeking an Environmental Senior Associate with 7 to 10 years of experience to join a highly collaborative, sophisticated team. This position can be based out of any of their premier California offices: Orange County, Los Angeles, Century City, San Diego, or San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities
Advise high-end corporate, industrial, and developer clients on a wide range of complex environmental regulatory and administrative enforcement matters.
Navigate intricate statutory frameworks, managing issues arising under CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related California environmental statutes.
Provide strategic counsel on environmental compliance, risk allocation, and defense strategies before state and federal administrative agencies.
Act as a key project manager and mentor to junior associates, fostering a high-performance, supportive team culture.
Position Requirements
Experience: 7–10 years of dedicated practice in environmental law, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and administrative enforcement.
Legal Expertise: Comprehensive working knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, and California environmental regulations.
Credentials: J.D. from an accredited law school and active, good-standing membership in the State Bar of California.
Billable Structure: Ability to thrive in a sophisticated practice with a highly competitive and achievable 1950 billable hour requirement.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $365,000 – $390,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
