This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a high-detail, productivity-focused position that requires accuracy, concentration, confidentiality, and consistent attention to detail.The position involves entering data and scanning a high volume of confidential information into a database system while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and all applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Data Entry Scanner: This position involves accurately enter data and scanning a high volume of confidential information’s into a database system.

• Identify and correct data entry using appropriate quality control methods.
• Provide general data entry support.
• Enter client data into the HMS system, register patients, record dental services, run insurance eligibility reports and mark and bill for services performed.
• Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:

• Ability to communicate effectively by both orally and verbally.
• Knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulations.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to follow office procedures & practices.
• Ability to understand, interpret & apply applicable rules, regulations, policies & procedures.
• Computer literacy with experience in Excel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. One (1) or more years’ professional clerical or conducting data entry experience.
2. One (1) or more years professional experience conducting medical/dental insurance eligibility.
3. One (1) or more years customer service experience in a clerical/cashier position within the past three years.
4. One (1) or more years experience working with confidential or sensitive information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of (2) two years of health insurance claims processing experience within the past three years.
2. Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
3. Currently certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
4. Bilingual, fluent in English/Spanish or English/Creole.
