L&I IT Application Developer - Journey

Salary: $85,800 - 115,416 per year Requirements:

• We require eight years of professional experience that includes developing and enhancing applications with tools and languages such as Visual Studio, C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JQuery, MWM or MVC, WPF, ADO, WCF, and JSON.
• We require experience writing and accessing database code using T-SQL, stored procedures, and Entity Framework.
• We require experience performing unit testing.
• We require experience applying development standards in a managed environment.
• Alternatively, we accept a bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a closely related field, plus four years of recent professional experience in the areas listed above.
• Alternatively, we accept an associates degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a closely related field, plus six years of recent professional experience in the areas listed above.
• We require the ability to take action to learn and grow.
• We require the ability to take action to meet the needs of others.
• We prefer one year of experience working on an Agile Scrum team.

• We develop and maintain software applications, application interfaces, and web services.
• We translate business requirements into application features.
• We serve as a technical advisor and help management coordinate work items across multiple applications.
• We build prototypes that support business functionality.
• We work independently or lead staff to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving applications, environments, platforms, software, or hardware.
• We participate in incident response and problem management efforts to identify solutions.
• We use the software development lifecycle to plan, analyze, design, develop, and test applications and interfaces.
• We deliver technology solutions in line with our standards and procedures.
• We document technical specifications, network diagrams, application functionality, deployment plans, and release notes.
• We research complex technical issues related to application development, database structure, platform configuration, performance, security, and data integrity.
• We stay current on technical trends and evaluate emerging technologies for potential use and implementation.

This Journey-Level IT Application Developer role supports the OHMS and Power Platform suite of systems and may also assist other systems depending on team workload.
