Lateral Attorney Recruiter

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP (FMG) is a rapidly growing national litigation firm with offices across the United States. As we continue our strategic expansion, we are seeking a Lateral Attorney Recruiting Specialist to join our dynamic Recruiting team. In this highly visible role, you will drive nationwide lateral attorney hiring efforts, supporting the recruitment of Associates, Senior Counsel, and Partners across multiple practice areas and offices. This position offers the opportunity to partner directly with firm leadership, practice group leaders, office managing partners, and hiring managers to attract top legal talent and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. What You’ll Do As a key member of our talent acquisition team, you will: Manage the full lifecycle of lateral attorney recruiting, from sourcing through onboarding Develop and execute strategic recruiting initiatives in partnership with firm leadership Source and engage high-caliber attorney talent through networking, referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, legal recruiting databases, and direct outreach Conduct candidate screenings to assess qualifications, career goals, compensation expectations, and overall fit Coordinate interviews and candidate communications across multiple offices nationwide Prepare candidate profiles, interview feedback summaries, and hiring recommendations Support offer development, compensation discussions, and candidate negotiations Build and maintain relationships with legal search firms, industry organizations, and other recruiting resources Track recruiting metrics, market trends, and competitive intelligence to support the firm's continued growth What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications: 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within a law firm, legal recruiting agency, or professional services environment Strong sourcing, networking, and relationship-building skills Excellent communication, organization, and project management abilities Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience recruiting attorneys, including associates, counsel, and partners Knowledge of legal practice groups, law firm structures, and attorney compensation models Experience utilizing recruiting metrics and talent acquisition data to drive hiring decisions Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office The FMG Difference At FMG, we value professionals who are: Positive, approachable, and team-oriented Organized, responsive, and accountable Respectful, collaborative, and client-service focused Committed to excellence and continuous improvement What We Offer Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Generous PTO and work-life balance 401(k) with a 3% Safe Harbor contribution Firm-paid life insurance and long-term disability coverage Year-end bonuses and referral incentives Firmwide social events and team-building opportunities Ready to Grow With Us? #J-18808-Ljbffr Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP
