Embark on a rewarding contract position working with students in a vibrant educational environment near Pawtucket, RI. Multiple openings are available across high school, middle school, elementary, and kindergarten levels, providing a fantastic opportunity to make an impact and grow your experience as a paraprofessional.
Positions begin August 31, 2026, and extend through June 10, 2027, offering consistent weekday daytime hours. Schedules vary slightly by grade level, with 32 hours per week across the following shifts:
- High school: 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM
- Middle school: 7:05 AM – 2:00 PM
- Elementary: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM
- Kindergarten: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Qualifications and Experience:
- RI Teacher Assistant Certification (RI TA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with documented experience in school settings
- Passion for supporting students’ daily learning, growth, and social-emotional development
- Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and administrators
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Reliable and adaptable to various classroom needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support to students and teachers within the classroom
- Assist with individualized and small group instruction, helping students stay on task
- Support inclusion of diverse learners within the academic setting
- Contribute to a positive and respectful school climate
- Monitor student safety and foster an encouraging environment throughout the school day
