Sr. Revenue Recognition Implementation Consultant

Sr. Revenue Recognition Implementation Consultant BillingPlatform is seeking a Revenue Recognition Implementation Consultant to guide our customers through the design and implementation of our revenue recognition solutions. This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong accounting and systems background who can bridge technical configuration with accounting policy compliance. You will work closely with finance, accounting, and IT stakeholders to ensure our platform delivers accurate, auditable, and ASC 606–compliant revenue recognition processes. Daily activities include leading client‑facing workshops, translating accounting policies into system configurations, designing revenue schedules, configuring revenue automation rules, documenting and validating results, and ensuring integrations with ERP and general ledger systems meet compliance requirements. You will be the subject matter expert in both revenue recognition best practices and the BillingPlatform solution, partnering with internal teams and clients to deliver successful outcomes. Responsibilities Partner with finance, accounting, and client stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to revenue recognition and ASC 606 / IFRS 15 compliance Translate accounting policies and operational processes into scalable system configurations and automated revenue workflows Configure BillingPlatform’s revenue recognition functionality, including rules, schedules, allocations, event triggers, and reporting logic Design and document current‑state and future‑state revenue recognition processes, integrations, and data flows Collaborate with ERP and General Ledger teams to support integrations for journal entries, contract data, and revenue schedules Lead testing and validation activities to ensure calculations, schedules, and accounting outputs align with client policies and compliance requirements Support data migration activities related to contracts, performance obligations, and historical revenue data Deliver client workshops, training sessions, and functional guidance for accounting and finance users Partner closely with project managers, solution architects, and cross‑functional teams to drive successful client implementations Act as a trusted advisor to clients by recommending best practices for automation, process optimization, and scalable revenue operations Stay current on evolving revenue recognition standards and industry best practices within SaaS and subscription‑based business models Collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore teams in a fast‑paced, client‑facing implementation environment Qualifications 5+ years of experience in revenue recognition, finance systems implementation, or consulting/professional services environments Strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition principles and related accounting processes Hands‑on experience implementing or supporting revenue recognition solutions such as NetSuite ARM, SAP RAR, Oracle Revenue Management, or similar platforms Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or related enterprise platforms Ability to translate accounting and business requirements into scalable system configurations and process improvements Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including reconciliation and validation of financial data Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across finance, accounting, operations, and technical teams Experience in SaaS, subscription billing, or recurring revenue environments is highly preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities and client deliverables in a fast‑paced consulting environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field Willingness to travel up to 25% Benefits Be part of the fastest‑growing companies in the United States Receive competitive compensation that includes a robust benefits package—medical, dental, vision, life and disability, HSA, FSA, and many perks related to health and wellness provided by our medical carriers 401(k) match that is 100% immediately vested Discretionary and charitable time off program Ability to work hybrid if you are in the Denver, Colorado area The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 USD plus bonus per year, depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
