Zinc Die Cast Operator (2nd shift)

We are looking for a Zinc Die Cast Operator to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. This is a full-time, 2nd shift position (3:15pm - 11:45pm, Monday - Friday). General Summary Accountable for performing all required tasks to support die cast operation. Perform quality checks as required per routing sheet and report any issues with part quality, process and/or machine Keep all material segregated between checks Identify defects and use measuring equipment (gauges, caliper, micrometer, etc.) Verify calibration due date on all measuring equipment Report any nonconformances, expired or missing items to Quality Properly mix/dilute lubricants Perform required zinc changes when applicable and refill ingots as needed Properly separate/segregate between material types Separate parts from runners/objects Operate all scales and report any issues with equipment or process At the beginning of every shift, verify that shop ticket holder, color cone, color stamps (Part ID, if applicable) are at assigned machine Perform daily operator PMs required Operate assigned machine(s) and report excessive machine stoppages, scrap, or other issues Clean machine, surrounding areas and collect dross Clean and keep in good working condition all machines and operator tables, fans, printers, monitors and working surfaces Move material when operation is complete or when required to do so Properly fill out routing sheet and report any issues with scrap, quantity, and machine Label and tag production when required Wear required PPE Perform other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor or management Requirements Heavy Lifting (up to 50 pounds).
