Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Over the Road Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves long-distance transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, with the ability to navigate different driving conditions while adhering to all regulations.

Duties

Operate a tractor-trailer to transport freight across long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Secure cargo.
Manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate logs of hours driven, rest periods, and cargo details.
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or any issues encountered during transportation.
Maintain a clean and organized truck interior while ensuring that cargo is secured properly for transport.
Utilize various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and roll-off trucks as required by the load.

Experience

Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in route driving with a focus on freight delivery.
Familiarity with operating different types of trucks including tractor-trailers and flatbeds.
Experience in loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight handling is essential.
Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not mandatory.
