About this role As a Neurohospitalist and Tele‑Neurohospitalist at Intermountain Health, you will work with a high‑performing, patient‑centered team committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. We can accommodate a combination of telehealth shifts and in‑person shifts that best fit the neurologist's needs, including full‑time telehealth work. Intermountain has a strong, well‑established Teleneuroscience program. Since 2014, the Teleneurohospitalist team has provided telestroke and inpatient neurology consults. The teleprogram aligns closely with our Virtual Hospital subspecialty portfolio, which offers all types of specialty care across the system, ensuring patients can stay locally in their community with the necessary specialist care. Responsibilities Provide 24/7 Tele‑Neurohospitalist services or in‑person neurohospitalist services Work 1.0 FTE (2,080 hours per year) split into 12‑hour day/night shifts and swing shifts (approximately 15 shifts per month) Mix of days, nights, weekends, and holidays Provide telehealth (stroke, inpatient neurology consults) support to Intermountain hospitals and several outreach sites across Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Alaska Neurohospitalist positions are part of our larger Neuroscience Institute group, which includes Neuro Critical Care physicians, Epileptologists, Neurosurgeons, outpatient neurologists, Neuro and Spine PM&R physicians, Neuro psychologists, and psychiatrists Work closely with the neuro‑intensivists team covering the neurocritical care unit and tele‑neurocritical care consults throughout the system Benefits This position includes an extremely competitive salary, sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, training stipend, student loan repayment when applicable, paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and an annual CME allowance to support your continuous growth and development. Qualifications U.S. ACGME Neurology Residency Completion of vascular neurology (stroke) or neurohospitalist fellowship (optimally) Experience in telehealth and telestroke practice, including familiarity with video telemedicine interface (optimally) Board Certified or Eligible in neurology Unrestricted MD or DO license, or ability to obtain an unrestricted license in UT, CO, NV, AZ, MT, ID, WY, and AK Eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact BLS certification and DEA registration Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process Equal Opportunity Employer Intermountain Health is an equal opportunity employer.
