Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Variable Start Times (7:00 AM / 9:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital operating room setting, including trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical cases
• Perform on-call duties as required; call is distributed equally among nursing staff approximately every 6 weeks, which may include up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period across days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Float between like units within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in weekend coverage and be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Complete required orientation modules prior to start and on an annual basis

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgery is required due to trauma designation status
• Valid California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, weekends, and required holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care OR environment
• Familiarity with floating to sister or affiliate facilities
• Ability to accommodate a variable schedule including occasional night shift coverage
