The team researches grants, prepares applications, tracks deadlines, and assists with reporting and compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong research and analytical abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines. Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with professional, academic, or technical writing. Familiarity with grant writing or fundraising principles. Knowledge of nonprofit organizations, economic development, government funding, or small business operations. Experience utilizing AI-assisted writing and research tools. Previous internship or volunteer experience in nonprofit, government, or business settings. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong written communication and editing skills. Ability to research and evaluate funding opportunities. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and online research tools. Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and team members. Position Summary/Job Duties Grant Research: Research local, state, federal, corporate, and foundation grant opportunities. Identify funding opportunities that align with organizational and client objectives. Maintain a database of grant opportunities, deadlines, and eligibility requirements. Monitor recurring funding cycles and new grant announcements. Grant Writing: Draft grant proposals, applications, letters of inquiry, and supporting documentation. Develop clear and compelling narratives using information provided by leadership and clients. Assist in preparing project descriptions, budgets, and supporting materials. Ensure applications are complete, accurate, and submitted by required deadlines. Grant Administration: Maintain organized grant files and documentation. Track grant application status and submission deadlines. Monitor awarded, pending, and declined applications. Assist with maintaining grant tracking systems and reports. Reporting & Compliance: Assist with collecting data for grant reporting requirements. Support preparation of post-award reports and compliance documentation. Help document project outcomes, community impact, and workforce development initiatives. Administrative Support: Participate in meetings as assigned. Maintain accurate records and project documentation. Provide administrative support for grant-related initiatives and special projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer. Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and other standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in person and through virtual platforms. Occasional attendance at meetings or events as assigned.
