Responsibilities Perform technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. Prepare equipment used to expose film, develop and organize films, and prepare patient rooms, supplies, and medications (contrast agents). Transport and monitor patients as necessary. Level I: May perform x‑rays (abdomen, upper and lower extremities) under supervision after completing required clinical competencies. Level II: Perform x‑rays unsupervised—including fluoroscopy and surgery—once required clinical competencies are completed. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Must be enrolled in a CAHEA accredited radiology program or equivalent; Radiology Student Tech II must have completed 12 months of the program. Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer. Previous clinical rotation experience required. Must demonstrate familiarity with computer systems such as MS Outlook and Word. Notes Reports to: Operations Manager. Supervises: None. Physical Demands Moderately active; involves sitting, frequent movement, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects including patients. Exposure to body fluids and infectious hazards. Requires sustained attention and ability to perform repetitive motions. Mental Demands Requires strong communication, assessment, decision‑making, written and verbal skills, emotional stability under high stress, and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining collaborative relationships. Special Demands Superior customer service skills, professional etiquette, proficiency in office technology, and appropriate clinical judgment for patients of all ages.
