Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant

Job Description Job Description Columbia Eye Associates is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant to join our team in Columbia, MD. We are open to hiring either an experienced technician or the right person with a strong work ethic, great people skills, and the ability to learn quickly. Primary Responsibilities: - Prepare patients for the doctor - Collect patient history and update records accurately - Perform pre-testing and other basic diagnostic testing - Assist with patient flow throughout the day - Support both clinical and front office needs as needed - Help create a warm, professional, and efficient patient experience Qualifications: - Friendly, professional, and dependable - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Good attention to detail - Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment - Reliable attendance and punctuality - Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or a medical office is preferred, but not required for the right candidate Training: We are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated, learns quickly, and is ready to be an active part of the team. Schedule: Full-time hours. Monday through Friday. Daytime schedule only. Compensation: Pay based on experience. Benefits: Benefits available for full-time employees.
