Desired Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Occupational Therapist license (required)
• School-based OT experience highly desirable
• Confidence working with K-12 caseloads across multiple school settings
• Willingness and capability to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Ability to create engaging, individualized treatment plans
• Organized approach to managing a rotating schedule across four school buildings
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with IDEA/IEP guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based direct and consultative OT services for students in accordance with IEP goals
• Travel onsite to Castor HS, Gibsland HS, Arcadia HS, and Crawford Elementary
• Collaborate with educational professionals, administrators, and families to promote student achievement
• Provide guidance and supervision to COTAs as necessary
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Recommend adaptive materials and strategies to support student participation in school activities
