Architectural Millwork Estimator

Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (On‑Site) • Employment Type: Full‑Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork Estimator to join our team in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating high‑end architectural millwork projects, particularly for luxury hospitality, restaurant, and condominium common‑area interiors. This position requires a detail‑oriented professional who can independently manage the estimating process from plan review through bid submission. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for custom architectural millwork projects. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural drawings and specifications. Analyze project documents, identify scope requirements, and develop complete bid packages. Review project specifications, drawings, addenda, and contract documents. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Prepare and submit competitive bids within established deadlines. Manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the bidding process. Conduct scope reviews to ensure complete and accurate pricing coverage. Identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost‑effective alternatives while maintaining design intent and quality standards. Coordinate with project managers, designers, architects, and clients as needed. Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and historical cost records. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience estimating architectural millwork projects. Demonstrated experience estimating high‑end restaurant projects, luxury hotel interiors, high‑end condominium common areas and amenity spaces. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability to perform complete and accurate takeoffs independently. Proven experience preparing bids from concept through final submission. Experience managing RFIs, scope reviews, and value engineering exercises. Strong understanding of architectural drawings, millwork shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating software. Knowledge of AWI standards and custom millwork manufacturing processes.
