Associate Director of Admissions, RecruitmentThe Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and enrollment of the first year and transfer classes each year for the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts. Tufts Admissions is charged with meeting various enrollment goals across schools and programs.What You'll DoReporting to the Director of Strategic Planning, the Associate Director of Admissions, Recruitment will be an experienced member of the undergraduate admissions team, responsible for recruiting and selecting students and for fulfilling the enrollment objectives set by the University. The Associate Director of Admissions, Recruitment will be responsible for the following:Collaboratively develop and implement each cycle's domestic recruitment planManagement of marquee recruitment events, both in-person and virtualCoordination of recruitment cycle operations, calendars, and process improvementsDevelopment and facilitation of staff recruitment trainingParticipate in the undergraduate application review and selection processes, including the evaluation of applications in alignment with training protocol and participation in selection committees. The Associate Director may be asked to take on leadership roles throughout the selection cycle through process management or committee chairing. Serve as an on-campus point-of-contact for visitors. Communicate with students, families, school/organization counselors, and the general public via in-person conversations, virtual formats, email, and phone. Collaborate with campus partners regarding data and project-based work. Coordinate with external partners, such as higher education institutions, secondary schools, and community organizations, to support portfolio and office-wide initiatives. Conduct virtual and in-person information sessions and workshops for a variety of audiences, both on-campus and off-campus. As requested by the Dean and/or Director, create, facilitate, or contribute to office training initiatives for admissions officers and/or administrative staff. Directly supervise 1-4 professional staff members and serve as a member of the Management Team. Complete other projects and duties as assigned.While our office functions in a hybrid modality, the Associate Director can expect to have a frequent campus presence.Travel Requirements - This position involves travel throughout the year, which may include overnight stays. A valid U.S. driver's license is required, along with the willingness and ability to drive to various locations using a rental vehicle. Candidates must have a driving record that meets the standards of rental car agencies.A resume and letter of interest are required for this position.What We're Looking ForBasic Requirements: Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:Bachelor's degree5+ years of progressively responsible experience in selective admissions, college counseling, or a related fieldExperience with student recruitment, including individual and/or joint travelExperience with application evaluation, including individual or committee-based evaluationExcellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skillsDemonstrated project management skills, preferably in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environmentCultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populationsProficiency with CRM management software and Microsoft office suiteComfort traveling both independently and as part of a groupValid U.S. Drivers' LicensePreferred Qualifications:Prior supervisory experience of either professional or student staffExperience with leading and/or facilitating staff development initiativesExperience with highly selective application evaluation, including individual or committee-based evaluationExperience with Technolutions SlateFluency in a second languagePay RangeMinimum $67,200.00, Midpoint $83,900.00, Maximum $100,700.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
