Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Contract Position Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day Shift: 3x12.0 Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, and all activities are aligned with Select Medical's commitment to superior quality and results-oriented care. Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission. Develop individualized plans of care based on assessment data and collaboration with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses timely and accurately in the medical record. Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care. Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel. Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and reporting hazards. Assume charge responsibility as requested after completing the orientation period. Engage in professional development and continuing education. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current BLS Certification required prior to first shift. ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY). Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
