Do you have experience as a lead toddler teacher working at a child care center? Are you energetic , creative, and love working with children? Do you have a current CDA or degree in education, and all current clearances? 

We would love for you to join our team and fill the full time position we have available as a lead toddler teacher. Our center in located in the 19141 zip code of Philadelphia.

Some duties include...

*Implementing daily circle time
*Potty training students
*Coordinate & implement weekly classwork and homework for students
*Plan appropriate activities to actively engage children & encourage social, cognitive, & emotional growth

*Maintaining a professional environment for students, clients, & coworkers

*Complete weekly crafts with students
*Provide active supervision
*Complete required documents for the children (Attendance, logs, wellness logs, child service reports, incident reports).
*Ensure all center policies are met
*Ensure a healthy classroom environment (maintain appropriate hygiene & cleanliness practices, & the security of the children
*Maintain frequent communication with parents through informal discussion, progress reports, & parent-teacher conferences
*Maintain accurate records & forms for your file and student files

Besides academics we do crafts, have special in school events for our students and family engagement events.The person hired MUST be committed to getting to work on time and coming to work on a consistent basis. Our center prides itself on providing a welcoming , safe, and stable environment for our students and clients. Therefore we are seeking candidates that are passionate about teaching and willing to commit to being on our team.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE ALL CLEARANCES OR WILLING TO OBTAIN

*Current Criminal background

*Current FBI Clearance

*Current Mandated Reporter Certificate

*Current Child Abuse Clearance

* Current Photo ID

*Current NSOR certificate

*Stars Orientation Required Training

* Required Health & Safety Updated Training ON BETTER KID CARE WEBSITE 

1) PA Required Health and Safety for Centers-Group Child Care Part 1 (3 Hours) 

2) PA Required Health and Safety for Centers-Group Child Care Part 2 (3 Hours)

3) 2 Hours child development training (annually) UNDER THE S1 CORE COMPETENCIES 

*Required Annual Child Development *Professional Development courses 

*Annual 2 hour child development training 

Other Requirements
* High school diploma of equivalent

* Current Health Assessment & TB shot

* Two Professional Reference letters (non family members)

*Required Health & Safety training certificate

*Min. 12 hours current child care training hours

Experience

At least 2 years working in a licensed facility. (Must be confirmed on Employee Verification Document)
