Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support quality inspection activities for aerospace metal components. This role involves performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using precision measuring tools, operating CMM equipment, and interpreting technical drawings in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming, first article, in-process, and final inspections following standard procedures.

• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment and perform manual bench inspections.

• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.

• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance.

• Verify calibration status of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Identify and report defective materials, non-conformances, and unusual conditions to supervision.

• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.

• Ensure work area and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards.

• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure product conformance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 2-3 years of experience inspecting metal parts, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing environments.

• Experience using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Basic shop math skills for measurements and calculations.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.

• Experience operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and inspection processes.

• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
