Civil Engineer

Relocation Authorized: National - Single Telework Type: Full-Time Office/Project Work Location: Clay, NY Salary Range: $78,000 - $119,000 annually Job Summary In this role, you will conduct field investigations and participate in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil engineering components and processes. You will assist with design support at a project site, including resolution of construction queries, rfis and ncrs. As required, you will assist with preparation of construction drawings, project schedules, models, calculations, material requisitions, studies, reports, presentations, and proposals. Your assistance will contribute to civil/structural designs that meet project requirements. Major Responsibilities Participate in field walkdowns and investigations as engineering support to construction Participate in the design, development, modification and evaluation of civil sitework components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) and Design Control Check List (DCCL) and Design Review Notices (DRNs) Plan civil layout, prepare detailed civil engineering design and layout drawings for small structures, portions of major buildings, roadways, railroads, etc. Ensure designs are compliant with local and national regulations before and during construction Originates civil engineering deliverables, such as drainage and road design calculations, specifications, and material requisitions Prepare building material interface details for review by senior personnel Participate in reviews and recommend approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements Prepare civil/structural designs and construction drawings using 2-D / 3-D computer aided design (CAD), presentation graphics and civil models and codes Prepare procurement and subcontract requisition documents and perform associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations Provide technical assistance to other Civil/Structural personnel and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards Education & Experience Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
