Quality Control Lead

Intrepid Powerboats manufacturers high quality semi-custom boats. We are a 30+ year stable company with extensive demand for boats within our iconic brand. Quality Control Oversight Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for marine manufacturing processes. Inspect and assess the quality of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet industry and regulatory standards. 2. Team Management Lead a team of quality control inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support. Schedule and coordinate inspection activities to meet production timelines. 3. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality issues. Generate reports and communicate quality control findings to management and relevant departments. 4. Process Improvement Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement changes. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues. 5. Compliance Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications relevant to the marine industry, such as ISO, ABS, or other classification societies. 6. Supplier and Vendor Relations Evaluate and monitor the quality of materials and components provided by suppliers and vendors. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues. 7. Safety and Environmental Compliance Ensure that quality control practices align with safety and environmental standards, promoting a safe and sustainable work environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management) is often preferred. Proven experience in quality control, ideally within the marine or manufacturing industry. Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards, regulations, and certification requirements. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
