Vice President of Strategy, Growth & Operations

FLIPANY is seeking an experienced Vice President of Strategy, Growth & Operations to join our Executive Leadership Team and help advance the organization's strategic priorities, sustainable growth, operational effectiveness, and community impact.

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will provide executive leadership across strategy, operations, program performance, organizational growth, leadership development, and organizational change.

 

The ideal candidate is a strategic and collaborative leader who can move effectively between strategy and execution, identify opportunities for growth, strengthen organizational systems, and build the leadership capacity needed to support FLIPANY's continued growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute organizational strategy and priorities.
• Translate strategic priorities into clear goals, timelines, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
• Provide strategic leadership for organizational, programmatic, and business growth opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities including program expansion, strategic partnerships, contracts, grants, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
• Provide executive oversight of FLIPANY's programs and services, with a focus on quality, performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen organizational systems, processes, workflows, and cross-functional coordination to support effective operations and sustainable growth.
• Lead, coach, and develop organizational leaders while strengthening staff and leadership capacity.
• Lead the planning and implementation of significant organizational changes, including program launches, expansions, restructures, and transitions.
• Establish and monitor organizational and program-level KPIs and use data to guide decision-making and improvement.
• Partner with Finance, Advancement, Human Resources, and program leadership on organizational planning and growth initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders, government agencies, community organizations, contract partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates to the CEO and support Board engagement as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and significant relevant leadership experience. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations, programs, organizational strategy, business growth, or a related area.
• Experience leading complex operations, multiple programs, departments, or organizational functions.
• Demonstrated success identifying and implementing organizational or business growth opportunities.
• Experience developing leaders, strengthening staff capability, and building organizational capacity.
• Experience managing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of budgets, grants, contracts, performance management, and financial considerations related to organizational operations and growth.
• Experience in a nonprofit, public health, human services, or similar complex mission-driven organization strongly preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and organizational systems used for program, operational, performance, and data management.
