Step into a vital role supporting students from kindergarten up to age 26 within a specialized center-based program designed for individuals with moderate to severe disabilities. This is a full-time, onsite contract position requiring 35 hours per week throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. Your skills as an experienced school Physical Therapist will directly influence the growth and development of students who greatly benefit from targeted therapeutic interventions.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid Michigan Physical Therapy license (please provide a screenshot upon application)
• Prior experience working in school settings
• Strong understanding of the unique needs of children and young adults with moderate to severe disabilities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Able to work onsite without remote accommodations
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans for students in a center-based educational setting
• Work collaboratively with educators, related service providers, and families to integrate therapy goals into students’ educational programs
• Assess, document, and progress student outcomes, adapting interventions as needed
• Provide guidance and training to staff on supporting students’ mobility and physical access throughout the school day
• Maintain thorough and timely records in compliance with both school and state guidelines
• Participate actively in IEP processes and team meetings
