Senior Litigation Attorney

Senior Litigation AttorneyFreedom Foundation is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its national team focused on public-sector labor reform. This attorney will lead and support high-impact litigation efforts aimed at protecting workers' rights and limiting the influence of government unions.Reporting to the Chief Litigation Counsel, this role involves both strategic legal work and hands-on litigation across First Amendment, administrative, civil rights, and open government issues. The Foundation prefers candidates based in Olympia, WA or Dallas, TX, but may consider other locations for exceptional talent.Key responsibilities include:Leading and supporting litigation in federal/state courts and administrative agencies to challenge violations of workers' rightsDrafting legal opinions, briefs, analyses, articles, memos, and blog postsCollaborating with internal teams to advance labor reform and legal strategyCommunicating legal efforts to supporters, media, and the publicAdvising staff on legal matters tied to outreach and messagingBuilding relationships with allied legal groups and external attorneysRepresenting the Foundation at public events and speaking engagementsQualifications include:5+ years of intensive litigation experience strongly preferredLicensed to practice in at least one state where the Foundation operatesStrong legal research and writing skillsDemonstrated alignment with the Foundation's mission and valuesComfortable managing an independent caseload while working collaborativelyEntrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven teamCompensation: Freedom Foundation offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance and a retirement program, commensurate with experience.
