Vyde Tax Accountant Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 annual salary (DOE) Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid-4 days in onsite, 1 day remote) Schedule: Monday to Friday Location: 1078 South 250 East, Provo, UT 84606 Vyde is seeking an experienced Accountant with deep tax knowledge who is ready to move beyond the traditional public accounting model. This is a client-facing role for a professional who thrives on working directly with entrepreneurs and business owners to help them retain more of what they earn. Role Overview The Tax Accountant is responsible for delivering tax advisory services that help entrepreneurs and small business owners minimize tax liabilities and build long-term financial success. Centered around proactive strategy and direct client consultation, this role translates complex tax concepts into actionable, real-world solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will guide clients through strategic tax planning, identify savings opportunities, and create customized strategies tailored to each client’s unique financial and business landscape. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Client Consultation & Tax Planning: Meet one-on-one with entrepreneurs and business owners to evaluate their tax position, identify savings opportunities, and develop tailored tax strategies. Proactive Strategy Development: Analyze business structures, income streams, and financial goals to design forward-looking tax strategies that yield measurable results. Client Education & Guidance: Clearly translate complex tax concepts, ensuring clients understand their options and feel confident in their financial decisions. Internal Collaboration: Partner with product, sales, and fulfillment teams to align tax strategies with company services for a seamless client experience. Ongoing Client Support: Maintain long-term client relationships, adapting strategies as tax laws evolve and as client businesses grow and shift. Key Accountabilities Client Impact & Results: Deliver clear, actionable tax strategies that produce measurable tax savings and improved financial outcomes. Strategic Accuracy & Compliance: Ensure all recommendations comply with current tax laws and regulations while maximizing client benefits. Client Experience Ownership: Take complete ownership of client relationships, delivering consistent, high-quality advisory support year-round. Collaboration & Alignment: Work effectively across departments to ensure strategy execution aligns with broader company offerings and client needs. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on tax law, proactively refining strategies to deliver best-in-class advisory services.Organization & Execution: Maintain robust systems and processes to manage client interactions, strategies, and follow-ups efficiently. Qualifications Requirements Education & Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or EA credential is a plus. Experience & Skills 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, tax filing, tax planning, tax strategy, or tax advisory services. Experience with professional tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx Tax) and strong overall computer skills is preferred. Proven ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws within a client-facing environment. Excellent communication skills, with a track record of translating technical tax concepts into clear, actionable guidance. Experience working directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners (preferred). Demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver proactive tax solutions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with an entrepreneurial, client-first mindset. Ongoing Training Maintenance of professional licensure through required Continuing Professional Education (CPE). Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and conducting phone/video calls. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds periodically.
