Adjunct Instructor - Dental Hygiene (HRLY)

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor (Dental Hygiene) position in the Health & Public Safety Technology department in the Academic & Student Affairs division. This position is located on ATC’s main campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta. Responsibilities Provide instruction to students in the Dental Hygiene program under the supervision of the Dean of Health & Public Safety Technology and the Dental Hygiene Program Coordinator. Teach dental hygiene students head and neck anatomy didactic theory. Deliver clinical teaching. Collaborate with program faculty and staff regarding admissions policies, curriculum issues, learning techniques, clinical policies, remediation, and accreditation policies. Maintain current knowledge in the Dental Hygiene field and specialty dental subjects and technology. Follow approved clinical curriculum standards and course syllabi. Monitor student use of supplies, materials, and equipment. Work effectively with culturally and economically diverse backgrounds in a team‑spirited environment. Attend required meetings and enforce the institution’s policies and regulations. Maintain qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and accreditation standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication skills, well‑developed interpersonal and organizational skills. Be familiar with Dentrix, Dexis, intra‑oral camera, ultrasonic technology, hygiene instrumentation techniques, and OSHA sterilization protocols. Demonstrate critical thinking, knowledge, judgment, awareness, understanding, memory, and the ability to process information in a clear and effective manner. Have experience with Microsoft Word, Google Documents, and public speaking. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a closely related field. Three (3) years of paid work experience in the Dental field. Licensed registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Georgia. Teaching and clinical experience.
