Job Description
The Dental Hygienist will work under supervision supporting general dentistry by providing routine dental cleanings and specialized periodontal treatments. The role involves assessing patients' oral health, performing x-ray imaging, and maintaining accurate paper records. Sterilization of instruments and thorough health history reviews will also be essential functions to ensure high standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ oral health and review health histories
- Perform routine dental cleanings and specialized periodontal treatments
- Take and develop dental x-ray images
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Maintain accurate paper patient records
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in dental hygiene
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene or related field
- Proficiency in dental radiography
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
