ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, specifically in high acuity neuro populations, and will be capable of providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in Neuro ICU, including those with cardiovascular issues, multi-trauma, gunshot wounds, strokes, and STEMI.
• Manage patients requiring advanced interventions such as thrombectomy and CRRT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in status.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation of patient care.
• Float between PCU and ICU overflow as required to ensure all patients receive necessary care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or similar critical care setting.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and LA Fire Card.
• Ability to work nights with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
• A strong foundation in clinical practice and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Must have flexibility to float between units as necessary.

Additional Information

• Type of Facility: Acute Care, Magnet Facility with 377 staffed beds.
• Free parking is available for staff.
• No weekend requirements for this role.
