Job Description

This Cashier position is an important part of our organization. You must be have an outgoing, cheerful and genuinely helpful personality to be successful in this job!

Responsibilities

Must learn the breakfast and lunch menus in order to assist each customer with their food selections.
Greet each customer with a smile and assist them with questions and their food selections. Be prepared to offer suggestions or to answer their questions about the menu or services provided by Zeeland Street.
Correctly input orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system to assure kitchen staff is able to prepare each order quickly and without errors.
Consistently clean the counters and guest areas to make sure they are sanitary and organized. This includes cleaning both indoor and outdoor eating areas and restrooms.
Keep our guest self service stations sanitary, well stocked, and easily accessible.

Qualifications

Must have reliable transportation to be on time for scheduled shifts.
1-3 years of cash handling, customer service, restaurant OR hospitality experience.
Outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to be self directed and able to solve operational issues on your own.
Willingness to learn new systems and procedures.

Hourly Pay/ Hours

$8 - 8.50 per hour + tips; Averages out approximately $10.00 per hour
Typically 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Mondays - Saturdays; Closed on Sundays)
