CAD Coordinator - Civil/Survey

The Opportunity

A multi-disciplinary engineering firm is looking for a CAD Coordinator to own CAD operations across civil engineering and land surveying projects. You'll shape internal standards, mentor technical staff, and contribute directly to infrastructure project delivery. This role puts you at the intersection of hands-on technical work and operational leadership.

Your Day-to-Day

• Lead all aspects of CAD-driven plan preparation and production for civil and survey projects
• Maintain, refine, and expand internal CAD standards to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Develop and implement CAD software policies, procedures, and best practices
• Manage and update AutoCAD styles, templates, and databases
• Review base models, surfaces, and drawings, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide hands-on software support to project teams
• Train and mentor staff on CAD tools and workflows to elevate technical proficiency across the organization
• Coordinate with external CAD consultants to ensure alignment with internal standards
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure precision, consistency, and compliance across all deliverables

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of professional experience in Civil or Survey disciplines
• Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, Cyclone, or Revit is a strong plus
• Degree or technical school education in a Civil/Survey-related field preferred
• Highly organized and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Motivated to adopt new technologies and drive continuous improvement
