About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Global Strategic Sourcing for Chemicals to lead its global procurement function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a 3-5 year global procurement strategy. This role involves leading a global team across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and driving the organization to optimize procurement spending, strengthen supplier relationships, and improve cost savings. The VP will work closely with regional P&L leaders and be a key part of the executive leadership team, ensuring that sourcing and procurement strategies align with the company's broader goals. A Champion of Change mentality is essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and global suppliers. Applicants for the Vice President of Global Strategic Sourcing role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's or MBA preferred, and at least 15 years' experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within manufacturing, industrial, or chemical industries. A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience, particularly in managing a global team, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the chemical industry, excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen, as well as a proven track record in negotiation, financial management, and team leadership. The role requires a leader with outstanding communication skills, the ability to inspire and unify teams, and a high standard of professionalism and organizational excellence.
