Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - General Med/Tele skillset: stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc.), PCA pumps. - Medication gtt management to include cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF.

Required Credentials: - ASN / BSN

Special Requests: - Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: - Med/Tele overflow area supporting all inpatient units/ED holding; common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, chest pain workup, stroke s/s, and respiratory issues; testing is prioritized. - Will be assigned a home unit on the first day of orientation. - RN ratio 1:5-6 (critical surge 1:7-8); CNA ratio 1:6-12. - No telemetry tech/monitoring support. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors. - Free parking

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays.

Floating Requirements: - Float to all units within scope at Mercy and within Region 1, within scope of practice, as needed: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH [peds only]).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
