About the Role

The Company is in need of an Executive Director for its hospice operation in the Akron area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership across all aspects of the business, including operations, clinical services, regulatory compliance, staffing, financial performance, quality, culture, and market development. This role demands a leader who can ensure the delivery of high-quality interdisciplinary hospice care while meeting the company's operational, financial, compliance, and organizational objectives. The Executive Director will be accountable for the overall performance of the agency and must be able to build and maintain relationships within the community. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company's hospice operation must have an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license and a background in healthcare management or comparable leadership experience, with a preference for those with hospice leadership experience. A thorough understanding of Medicare hospice certification and regulatory requirements is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to supervise clinical, professional, and administrative personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of healthcare operations, financial management, staffing, quality, compliance, and interdisciplinary care, and possess the skills necessary to operate effectively in an accountable, outcomes-driven environment. The role requires a leader with strong communication, leadership, judgment, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills, who can create stability, establish expectations, and develop a management team centered on quality patient care.
