ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN II Hollywood, MD, US Salary Range: $28.00 to $36.00 Hourly DEPARTMENT: AIRCRAFT INTEGRATIONS REPORTS TO: AIRCRAFT INTEGRATION SUPERVISOR Job Summary Electrical Technician II is responsible for performing the full range of duties in electrical systems for aircraft installations. Duties/Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after production. Install and maintain electrical systems including cable harness/components. Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments. Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, In accordance with Electrical Drawings/schematics. Set up and operate test equipment. Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems. Ability to understand Redline processes while working closely with supervisor. Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical component/wire harness, IAW the electrical Drawing /schematics. Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required. Basic Requirements High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience with electronic systems, electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, analyzing information. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Recurring FOD training and awareness, upon hire and annually. Ability to comprehend schematics and integration/installation drawings. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A 620 certification. Physical Requirements Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling Perceiving differences in wire and indicator light colors Operating hand and power tools Lifting, carrying, and/or moving tools, equipment, and components weighing up to 50 pounds Working in confined spaces and around aircraft Ascending and descending ladders or stairs as required Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects. Ability to traverse manufacturing facility. Manual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs. The hourly range for this position is $28.00 to $36.00. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education and training, job-related knowledge and skills, the scope and level of responsibility of the position, internal equity, and market/business considerations.
