Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Day Shift

Location: Austintown, Ohio
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Midwest Center of Youngstown, a rehabilitative behavioral health facility dedicated to providing treatment for individuals struggling with addiction. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in guiding patients through their detox process, administering medications, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Administers prescribed medications and makes independent decisions within the scope of your license involving patient care
Conducts nursing assessments during intake, shift assessments, and discharge assessments, and maintains accurate records through our Electronic Health System
Reconciles medication at the end of each shift and ensures that direct care staff performs proper infection control measures
Collaborates with the medical team, including the attending physician, ARNP, and Clinical Treatment Team, to develop and implement treatment plans
Provides emotional support and education to patients and their families
Qualifications:
Current LPN license
1+ years of experience as an LPN in a detox or similar treatment facility environment
State LPN license in good standing
Maintains current CPR certification
Detox and Psychiatric Nursing experience required
Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal pain and of a critically dangerous medical emergency and respond appropriately
