Class A Laser Operator

Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Shift: 1st 
Pay: $25-$35/hr (Based on Experience) + Overtime Opportunities

We're looking for a skilled Class A Laser Operator who can do more than push buttons. You'll play a key role in producing precision sheet metal components using state-of-the-art CNC laser equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment
• Load, adjust, and modify programs as needed
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings
• Monitor cut quality and make machine parameter adjustments
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Troubleshoot production and machine issues to minimize downtime
• Optimize nesting and material utilization
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of CNC laser operation and setup experience
• Experience with Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, Mazak, Mitsubishi, or similar laser systems
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Understanding of GD&T and quality inspection standards
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC programming experience
• Sheet metal fabrication background
• Forklift and crane experience
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing
