As a Nurse Practitioner at WSH, you will serve as a primary care provider for patients within our inpatient psychiatric hospital. You'll evaluate and treat patients with both chronic and acute medical conditions, partner closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, and make a lasting impact through a holistic approach to care. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct medical care to assigned units:
• Conduct comprehensive history and physicals
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies
• Coordinate care with specialty providers
• Communicate treatment plans to patients and families
Support clinical education:
• Guide medical students in Internal Medicine electives
• Attend teaching sessions
Support hospital-wide quality initiatives:
• Participate in performance improvement projects
• Report safety concerns within 24 hours
Participate in medical staff committees:
• Actively contribute to committee work
