TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Home Health RN in Staunton, Virginia, 24401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year of adult home health experience or 1 full year of hospice experience License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Proficient in HomeCare HomeBase and OASIS Description: Provides, coordinates, and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician's orders based on agency policies and procedures. Utilizes the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible to the Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Home visits are required. Periodic office meetings are also required. Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance are necessary. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Each type of visit and activity (documentation, travel, etc.) holds a different point value. Guaranteed hours are not provided. If there is a situation where the contractor is unable to meet financial needs due to low patient census, the contractor should discuss floating to a nearby clinic to pick up hours. Types of cases include start of care, wound care, and follow-up visits. Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the assigned care center. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Must not be a current employee of any agency location if applying as a traveler. Must be open to travel and accept every patient on the schedule regardless of distance from previous appointments. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment with the patient. Delayed and incomplete documentation that impacts billing and follow-up patient care may result in a cancellation. There are no guaranteed hours with this contract. Clinicians must hit weekly productivity points of 30, which equate to 40 hours per week. All overtime must be pre-approved. If not receiving enough patients each week to support financial needs, the contractor will have the opportunity to float to another nearby clinic to pick up patients.
