CNC Machine Operator 2The CNC Machine Operator 2 operates CNC machinery and assists with machining a variety of components. This is an intermediate-level position that requires more experience and knowledge than a CNC Machine Operator 1.The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating multiple machines, reading basic engineering drawings, using precision measuring tools, and troubleshooting common machining issues.Key responsibilities include:Operate CNC machines and efficiently run multiple machines or work centers.Set up machines by identifying the correct tooling and fixtures.Load materials into machines and monitor the machining process.Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required specifications.Read and interpret basic engineering drawings.Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to check measurements and tolerances.Deburr finished parts.Clear common machine alarms and troubleshoot basic machining issues.Identify problems that could affect product quality and notify the supervisor.Troubleshoot issues such as poor surface finish, tool wear, and accuracy problems.Maintain production logs and digital records.Keep machines and the surrounding work area clean and organized.Assist with basic machine maintenance.Operate manual lathes and mills for simple operations such as countersinking and turning parts.Use commonly used software and internal company programs.Candidates should be comfortable using or learning to use:CNC machineryOverhead cranesForkliftsHydraulic pressesManual lathes and mills
