Join us in driving growth and seizing new business opportunities.Role and ResponsibilitiesOur client State of Maryland is looking for a seasoned Sr Database Management Specialist, work schedule is hybrid – Baltimore, MD.Ensure the operational reliability, integrity and performance of all production databases.Perform back-up and recovery of existing databases, performance monitoring, and tuning.Perform database installations and upgrades and ensure the security of confidential data.Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions along with periodic maintenance, fixes, and patches of databases.Perform analysis of business needs, write reporting requirements, and turn requirements into delivered solutions.Assist users in writing complex queries and reports.Minimum QualificationAt least seven (7) years of experience in using current DBMS technologies, application design utilizing various database management systems and experience with DBMS internals.Must have seven (7) years of experience in DBMS systems analysis and programming.Knowledge of or at least one (1) year of experience in website development meeting accessibility standards WCAG 2.1 (at least Level A and AA).Strong understanding of Oracle architecture.Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA, including patching and creating backups using a variety of Oracle methods.Skilled in database performance tuning using different Oracle tools.Experience implementing Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and maintaining is required.Microsoft SQL Server 2022 and updated.SQL server management studio / administration studio.Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related scientific or technical discipline -OR- Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
