Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and recognize all guests according to company standards, anticipate and meet guest service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

• Responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to the customer tables, acting as the point of contact between front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) staff and setting up tables.

• Prepare the front line with the small utensils, tableware, and equipment needed to serve all food items effectively.

• Maintain the station by replenishing supplies, cleaning trays and tray stands, reading order tickets, and placing them in the ticket organizer.

• Control the cooking times of all food orders and check their presentation on the plate, appearance, and the appropriate degree of cooking.

• Assist waiters as needed to enhance the dining experience of guests.

• Perform all job tasks while complying with all safety practices and guidelines.

• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.

• Complete safety training and certifications.

• Complete closing tasks correctly at the end of each shift.

• Assist the Executive Chef and other kitchen employees in keeping the kitchen clean.

• Perform all auxiliary tasks in the front and back of the restaurant as scheduled or assigned by management.

• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.

• Secure all articles and storage areas.

• Prepare a daily shopping list to maintain a healthy inventory level as indicated by the supervisor.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

• Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards.

• Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.

• Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented

• Previous experience in a similar role in a high-end kitchen environment

• Ability to handle difficult situations effectively

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
