Columbus Specialty Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a full time Receptionist to handle the main lobby reception desk for our long-term acute care hospital. We are looking for a Receptionist to work Monday thru Friday, 8 hour shifts.
The full time receptionist will earn a competitive wage of $14.00/hour. ABOUT COLUMBUS SPECIALTY HOSPITAL
Columbus Specialty Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. The average length of stay in an LTACH is 25 days as compared to a 3-5 day average stay in a general hospital. Our safe and state of the art hospital is designed to admit and care for the most critically ill patients.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist is responsible for handling lobby reception by greeting all visitors and employees and ensuring the efficient delivery of incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments. This position does not involve direct patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older and does not require age specific experience, specialized training and/or expertise to serve this population.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
67-100% of work time: Sitting
1-33% of work time: Standing, Walking, Pushing/Pulling, Climbing, Bending/Stooping, Twisting, Lifting/Carrying, Using Arm/Leg/Back muscles frequently or for extended periods, Lifting 2-51+ pounds or more.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of reception experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required.
