Freight Handler - 2nd Shift

Overview Gordon Food Service is hiring a Freight Handler for the Distribution Center at 10901 38th St., Kenosha. Pay starts at $20.52 per hour and includes a $1 shift premium. Plus, any performance incentives, bonuses, etc. Total Rewards at GFS Affordable benefits plans start day one Weekly pay Wellness reimbursement Profit sharing & 401(k) with company match 95% of leadership is hired from within GFS Responsibilities Safely remove pallets of product from trailers and break down products for the correct pallet configuration Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets Ensure damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into warehouse for sale inventory Account for the structural integrity of pallets Support warehouse operations as part of the freight handling team Qualifications You must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25°F to 100°F) Must be able to read, write and communicate in English Successfully pass a drug test and a background check Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required Additional Information Veterans and active military members are encouraged to apply.
