Overview Join Bierman Autism Centers as a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist. We are building a Teaching Hospital for pediatric therapy by driving excellence in outcomes, developing clinicians, building payer trust, and embedding systems across our work. Our one-on-one approach focuses on natural play and teaching foundational skills like self-advocacy and communication — because every child deserves to shine. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children aged 2-12 with autism or other developmental and language delays, using natural play to teach skills. Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans and collect data to monitor progress. Write therapy notes for each session and communicate progress to parents and caregivers with guidance from the BCBA. Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials and maintain knowledge through required trainings. Follow the guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) if not already. Requirements Behavior Technician (RBT) Basic & Essential Functions Must be able to lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 pounds. Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and use quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan when working with children with challenging behavior. Must be able to assume and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending) for extended periods. Must be able to walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three-foot distance at all times. Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods. Must be able to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing. Must have manual dexterity for data collection and session documentation. Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication. Must be able to transfer written data to electronic files or database systems. Must be able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer and in therapy spaces. Must be able to assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space and materials. Must be able to administer medication to clients if required. Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and attention to detail. Flexibility and adaptability to meet team and client needs. Professional integrity and conduct. Preferred Experience Experience working with children ages 2-12 in classroom, daycare, 1:1, or instructional childcare settings. Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis principles in educational or allied health contexts. Additional Information Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full Time.
