Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist for locum coverage at a Level 1 Trauma / Academic Center. The ideal candidate must be TEE certified and have completed an approved CV anesthesia fellowship. Candidates with at least five years of CV anesthesia experience and testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE) will also be considered. Responsibilities include covering open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases, with operational support in general anesthesia procedures. The provider will assist with general OR cases as needed and ensure seamless perioperative care for adult and geriatric patients. The position requires ongoing availability through December 2026 with unrestricted overnight and weekend call.


Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $550-$570 (per hour, not OT)
• Orientation: $275-$285 (half the hourly/callback rate, after 8 hours)
• Holiday Pay: $825-$855 (at 1.5x hourly rate)
• Nightly Call: $1,300-$1,500 (per night to hold the pager, includes 2.5 hours gratis)
• Holiday Nightly Call: $1,950-$2,250 (per night, includes 2.5 hours gratis)
• On Call (Daily): $4,250-$4,600 (per 24 hours, includes 4 hours gratis)
• 24 Hour Holiday Call Rate: $6,375-$6,900 (per 24 hours, includes 4 hours gratis)
• Call Back: $550-$570 (per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours)
• Holiday Call Back: $825-$855 (per holiday hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours)

• Must be TEECertified and have completed or be eligible for licensure
• No pediatric care required
• EMR System: EPIC

Facility Details:
A 187-bed Level 1 Trauma / Academic Center with 15 ORs, 3 endoscopy suites, 2 EP labs, and advanced cardiology support including TEE, invasive and non-invasive studies, neuro IR, bronchoscopy, MRI lines, and obstetrics.


Additional Notes:

• Cases are hands-on, with potential supervision of CRNA as needed.
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60-90 days.
