What You'll Do

• Provide cardiac anesthesiology services for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart surgeries
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in high-acuity settings
• Support general OR procedures as needed—handling complex cases in a large academic trauma center
• Assist with preoperative evaluations and intraoperative management of adult patients
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotations for cardiac surgery and general anesthesia cases
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and documentation, utilizing Epic EMR system

What You Need

• Required:
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology with Cardiac Fellowship or equivalent
  • TEE certification and testamur in advanced perioperative echocardiography (NBE)
  • Licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in Nebraska
  • Minimum of 5 years CV anesthesia experience, with supporting recommendations if fellowship not completed
• Preferred:
  • Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma or academic hospital setting
  • Comfortable managing both cardiac and general anesthesia cases independently
