Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Human Service Worker at our Vantage Point North youth crisis shelter in American Fork, Utah. In this rewarding role, you'll provide direct support, supervision, and guidance to kids ages 10–17 who are experiencing challenges such as family conflict, emotional distress, mental health concerns, trauma-related behaviors, housing instability, or other crises impacting their well-being. We value collaboration, innovation, empathy, and creating a workplace where both clients and employees can thrive.What You'll Do as a Human Service WorkerProvide direct supervision, support, and structure to adolescent boys (ages 12–17) in a short-term crisis care settingCreate a safe, stable, and supportive environment for youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, and safety challengesAssist with daily routines, activities, and skill-building to promote stability and positive behaviorUse de-escalation and behavior intervention techniques to support youth in crisisMonitor youth safety, including those experiencing suicidal ideation, trauma-related behaviors, or family conflictSupport intake processes, including welcoming walk-ins and helping ensure safety and readiness for admissionAssist with medication management under supervision, following proper protocolsCollaborate with therapists and team members to support individualized care and treatment goalsMaintain accurate documentation and communicate updates on youth behavior and progressBuild trusting, supportive relationships with youth while encouraging growth, accountability, and resilienceQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver's licenseStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situationsReliable, team-oriented, and eager to learnExperience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not requiredMust pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standardsSpanish speakers may qualify for a wage increaseApply TodayReady to make a real impact?
