IP Patent Prosecution Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Associate

Overview Work involves the prosecution and strategic management of patent portfolios for clients in technology sectors such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML), semiconductors, telecommunications, cybersecurity, mobility, MedTech, robotics, fintech, digital infrastructure, and next-generation energy systems. Responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, conducting freedom-to-operate, validity, and patentability analyses. Assist with IP due diligence, portfolio management, and strategic counseling for emerging and established technology clients. Collaborate with attorneys to provide technical expertise in support of litigation, licensing, and other IP-related matters. Maintain current knowledge of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international patent practices, procedures, and developments relevant to high-tech areas. Clients range from early-stage startups to some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies. A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline is required (advanced degree preferred), with demonstrated expertise in areas like AI/ML, processor architecture, telecommunications, cybersecurity, or semiconductors.
