Housekeeper Position in New York CityA warm, professional family in New York City is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their household team. This is a fully staffed residence with assistants, drivers, security personnel, chefs, administrative staff, property staff, and personal assistants. This role will work alongside another Housekeeper and report directly to the Estate Manager.The home operates in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with clear communication, mutual respect, and a strong emphasis on professionalism.The family is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented housekeeper. The housekeeper must be flexible, adaptable to changing priorities, comfortable around pets, and capable of maintaining exceptional standards while working collaboratively with an established team.They are seeking someone looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable and respectful household.Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PMHousekeeping & Household MaintenanceDaily cleaning and maintenance of an 8,000-square-foot residenceDetailed cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, guest spaces, kitchens, and common areasDeep cleaning and seasonal household projectsBed making, linen changes, and ironing of sheets and household linensGuest room preparation and turnover when visitors are in residenceMaintain organization throughout all household spacesEnsure household standards are metProvide formal servingLaundry & Wardrobe CareDaily family laundryIroning and pressing of clothing, linens, and beddingProper care of specialty fabrics and garmentsKnowledge of appropriate washing, drying, steaming, and fabric-care techniquesCloset and wardrobe organizationPet Care SupportDaily support for three small dogsFeeding and watering petsManaging indoor pee pads and pet-related cleanupAssisting with coordination of dog walkersMaintaining pet supplies and inventoryHousehold OperationsMonitor household inventory and suppliesMaintain pantry organization and cleanlinessCheck expiration dates of medications, vitamins, and household itemsAssist with household errands as neededProactively identify maintenance or household needsAssist with occasional event preparation and cleanupSupport the household during holiday gatherings and special occasionsTeam CollaborationWork alongside another Executive Housekeeper as an equal member of the housekeeping teamReport directly to the Estate ManagerCommunicate professionally with principals and household staffAdapt to changing household priorities and last-minute requestsMaintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all timesQualificationsMinimum 5 years of private household housekeeping experiencePrevious experience in a fully staffed residences required with strong verifiable referencesStrong laundry and fabric-care knowledgeExperience with ironing and garment careExcellent attention to detailStrong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and manage changing responsibilitiesComfortable working around petsTeam-oriented mindsetProfessional, respectful communication styleAbility to take initiative and work independentlyComfortable receiving direction while remaining proactiveCooking experience is a plus but not requiredRequirementsFluent English communication skillsAuthorized to work in the United StatesExperience working in private homes with high standardsComfortable with a uniformed positionComfortable following established household protocols and chain of commandPhysically able to perform all housekeeping dutiesAvailable for occasional schedule flexibility for events or special household needs.
