We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist (CSS) to support our growing team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring accurate order processing and delivering a seamless experience from order entry through delivery.

Our client is a wholesale chemical distributor established in January 2002 and headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. From two employees during its first year of operation in 2002, they have grown to a staff of over 75 employees whose dedication is instrumental in ensuring that our customers get the chemical products they need on a timely basis.

Order Processing Specialist Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 23.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional, responsive service
• Respond to inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, order status, and logistics
• Process customer orders via phone and email, ensuring accuracy in the ERP system
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchasing on out-of-stock items Track orders, manage backorders, and provide proactive updates to customers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Billing, Shipping, Logistics, Warehouse, and Quality teams Resolve billing discrepancies, shipping concerns, and product-related issues
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
• Assist with front desk/reception coverage as needed
• Identify opportunities for upselling or additional product support

Order Processing Specialist Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of customer service or order processing experience
• Experience with ERP systems, logistics, or purchase orders (POs) required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
